bip

Batch Image Processor & Gallery: a lightweight, self-contained PHP gallery built with an air-gapped security model for personal holiday photo archives.

Designed for personal gallery collections

When you want to share up to 3,000 personal holiday photos with friends and family, single-file drop-in scripts slow down under directory-scanning overhead, while large CMS frameworks introduce complex database management and vulnerable browser upload vectors.

bip fills the mid-point gap. It combines zero-setup SQLite indexing for sub-second page loads with an out-of-band FTP upload pipeline that eliminates the web browser attack surface entirely.

Air-Gapped Security

Raw photos are uploaded out-of-band via FTP. With no browser-based upload scripts, the primary vector for web app execution exploits is completely removed.

Time-Aware Processing

Batch processing automatically self-caps execution at 28 seconds to prevent shared hosting script timeouts while converting originals into lightweight WebP format.

Self-Healing Protection

Includes built-in active security self-tests, automated .htaccess repair routines, execution locks on upload folders, and randomized database naming.

Where bip fits: the comparison

See how bip compares against basic single-file drop-in tools and heavy CMS platforms:

Metric / featureSingle-file drop-in
(e.g. Single File PHP Gallery)
bip (Batch Image Processor)
Optimized range: 50–3,000 photos
